Chill Out by Jana Richards my review
Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth
A wonderfully sweet book, it had me chuckling and at one point (maybe two) I had tears fill my eyes. I found Renata and Noah completely fabulous, and don't get me started on Spike (the English Mastiff), who's such a big softie all you want to do is give him treats and tummy rubs. This book comes alive while you're reading it. Everything about it is just magic. A must read story for anyone who loves good books and the hope of happiness. Loved it.
The Review:
Renata Cabral is determined to hide away from her large, extended family on her cousin's Valentine's Day Wedding. She doesn't want to be asked questions like "Why aren't you married yet?" And she most definitely doesn't want to be matched up with someone and paraded as through the wedding as the unmarried one. So instead she invents a work-related excuse and escapes to a friend's lakeside cottage. After two years of hiding from his brother, Noah Brownlee is finally ready to come home and mend their broken relationship. When a friend offers the use of his lakeside cottage to him, Noah arrives with his English Mastiff, in the middle of a blizzard, only to find the cottage is already occupied. With Renata's big brown eyes and quirky sense of humor, Noah finds himself feeling things he thought long since dead. While the blizzard rages, the candy hearts predict love. Will Valentine’s Day work its magic between them, or will the chill from the blizzard forever freeze the broken hearts?
