Unsaid by Avery Aster my review
Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth
This is the third book in the fabulous Manhattanites series, and it will make you feel everything the characters are going through. I devoured this book, loving every delicious moment of it. Cheering the characters on and gasping in surprise the next moment. Delicious and heartwarming, this book tells the story of Blake and Miguel. Of their secret desires and deepest wishes, and also, of their heartbreak. It also delves into the lives of their fabulous and admittedly outrageously lovable friends.
Avery Aster is a fabulous author, who manages to bring her characters to life, in a beautiful and at times amusing way. If you want to read a book that will make you feel, look no further, for this most definitely will. I loved this book and adore all the characters.
Opening Scene:
Prologue
Five Years Ago
Lower East Side
Miguel Santana collected his mail in the lobby of his apartment building.
The Review:
Blake Morgan III is determined to stay single forever after his disaster of a marriage. Writing his seven desires list he knows there is only one man who he can trust to make his uninhibited intensions come to fruition. His best friend Miguel Santana.
Miguel has always loved Blake, and was furious when he married the wrong guy. Determined to have his list of seven needs come true, he’s hopping like crazy that Blake won’t run for the hills, but will commit to him instead. Marriage to Blake is what Miguel wants above all else. Now all he has to do is convince him that a commitment with the right guy is the best thing for both of them.
Notable Scene:
“Hi, Mig.”
From the table’s rear Blake stood and approached, a muscle quivering at his jaw. His mouth kissed Miguel’s lip to lip for a nanosecond. He felt a mutual sensuousness between them and wondered if it was just his usual wishful thinking.
Releasing his smooch, Blake stood with only an inch distance between them. “I’ve missed you.”
Te huelo muy bien. God, he smelled good. The best asset on Mr. Morgan and a unique feature for any gay Manhattanite was his unawareness and overt cluelessness to his own male beauty. He was fucking hot.
His fingers trembled with eagerness as he wrapped his arms over Blake’s shoulders. They were close in height. His palms remained on his shoulders for a minute. He didn’t want to let go.
