Heat in the Moment by Lori Handeland my review
Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth
This is the second book in the Sisters of the Craft Trilogy and it was brilliant. This trilogy is seriously addictive. Once you open the pages you don’t want to stop reading until you have devoured every last delicious word. Lori Handeland is becoming a new favorite author for me, and I can’t wait to read the final installment in this wonderfully exciting series. Fast paced it moves swiftly and excitingly from start to finish leaving you breathless and beginning for more. I adored it.
The Review:
Four Centuries ago, in a small Scottish village, three baby girls escape the wrath of a witch hunter. Today, one young woman will learn about her secret history, her heart’s destiny, and the sisters she never knew she had…
Flame-haired Becca Carstairs was born to become a veterinarian. Her affinity for animals and her healing touch is nothing short of magic. But only Becca knows the truth, she can hear the creature’s voices. She’s always trusted her sixth sense, until a string of missing pets, an attempted murder, and a face from her past converge into one explosive mystery, centered around her.
She begins to wonder if Owen McAllister’s reappearance, related to the sinister happenings that have the peaceful town of Three Harbors, Wisconsin, on its guard. Or, is the man who broke her heart ten years ago, part of the answers to the questions that have troubled her all her life. As Becca delves into her strange heritage, she’ll have to fight for her life and the man she has always and will always love
