Once Loved by Cecy Robson my review
Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth
This is the second book in the powerful, heartbreaking, emotion filled beautiful Shattered Past series. Cecy Robson has managed to create characters that you visualize, and see their lives unraveling before your eyes. Every emotion they have reverberated throughout me. This heartbreakingly beautiful story and series is one to keep and read again and again. Truly beautiful. Amazingly touching, and completely breathtakingly beautiful. To say I loved this book is so mild a word, but I truly do, and I can’t wait for the next book.
The Review:
Lety Tres Santos’s childhood has left her with scars. Some emotional, and some physical. Her father is an abusive drug addict, and her mother enables his destructive behavior. Going to college, offers a tantalizing hope of a new start, until her father ruins that for her too. Losing her scholarship, Lety must find a way to pay her tuition and ignore the whispers that follow her. Something she’s determined to do without the help of Brody Quaida.
Brody is a 4.0 student and lacrosse star. He fell hard for the beautiful and feisty Lety. Their relationship crashed and burned, due to him being unable to break through the walls protecting Lety’s heart. Walls he’s determined to break through, for she needs him now more than ever. He strives to win her back, and make her believe in their true partnership and love. Even if it means unlocking his secrets from his past, and finally trusting someone more than he’s ever dared or dreamed too.
